A UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the wonderful tourist destinations of the world, most people likes the lovely hill area, Banff, in the Canadian Rockies. Progress is completely limited by National Park requirements.

Canmore is a smaller ( pop. ) town. 12, 000 ) just outside the park, a wonderful alternative to popular Banff. Canmore serves as the office for the Alpine Club of Canada. It is favored as a household bottom by a large number of skilled hikers.

Of course there are lots of “best treks” in the Rockies.

Lake O’Hara, for instance, is the prettiest rock hiking in the Rockies.

Plan for July to mid-September in the north Rockies. Banff is a great city, but the walking season is small. Storms are not unusual in September. We frequently advise that you arrive in August for a traveling vacation.
