Volcanoes Safaris, the pioneer of gorilla and chimpanzee ecotourism in Uganda and Rwanda since 1997, proudly celebrates the twenty fifth anniversary of its award-winning Bwindi Lodge.

Overlooking the primeval Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and with beautiful views of the forest cover, Bwindi Lodge is considered one of Africa’s distinctive lodges. From its beginnings as a easy camp in 1999, it has developed into the main luxurious gorilla safari lodge in Uganda, with ten elegant hand-built bandas with private butler service.

Gorilla Interpretation Centre

In celebration of this milestone, a Gorilla Interpretation Middle can be constructed on the lodge in 2025, the place friends can study gorilla conservation and analysis in partnership with two of Volcanoes Safaris’ key conservation companions: Gorilla Docs and Conservation By means of Public Well being.

Ugandan-born founder, Praveen Moman mentioned “We’re delighted to be celebrating this exceptional journey of Bwindi Lodge.

“As the one ecotourism firm to be signatories to the UN Kinshasha Declaration in 2005 on defending nice apes, our long-term dedication to gorilla conservation is central to our ethos and imaginative and prescient.”
