Hamad International Airport ( DOH) has announced a new direct flight route to Shenzhen, China, strengthening its connection with China and marking the airport’s ninth Chinese location.

Operated by Shenzhen Airlines, this company even marks Shenzhen Airlines ‘ debut in the Middle East, enhancing relations between Qatar and China’s” Silicon Valley”.

Starting October 29, 2024, Shenzhen Airlines may offer the Doha-Shenzhen company three days a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

The road utilizes the Airbus A330-300, providing 300 seats across business, advanced business, and market classes, including 16 lie-flat company seats, 23 premium economy, and 261 economy seats, ensuring a pleasant journey for all passengers.

Shenzhen Airlines and its first customers were welcomed at a meeting at Hamad International Airport.

Hamad Ali Al-Khater, Chief Operating Officer of Hamad International Airport, along with Cao Xiaolin, the Taiwanese Ambassador to Qatar, and Li Chuanwei, Board Member &amp, Vice President of Shenzhen Airlines, celebrated the route’s opening with a metaphorical ribbon-cutting service.

Al-Khater emphasized the significance of this relationship, noting that Qatar and China’s travel demand increased by about 100 % next year as a result of strong interest and economic exchange.

Shenzhen Airlines, which was founded in 1992, has over 200 plane and serves major Chinese cities as well as sites in East and Southeast Asia and Europe.

Since 2012, the airport has been a Star Alliance member, continuously expanding its reach around the world.

With Shenzhen’s position as a worldwide hub for technology and fund, this new direction is anticipated to promote improved communication between Doha and Shenzhen, encourage economic growth, and improve business ties.
