West African Airways and Gol Linhas Aéreas have renewed their codeshare deal, enhancing communication between big Brazilian and South African cities.

The partnership between South African Airways ( SAA ) and Rio de Janeiro’s Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes has been reinstated. Tourists can now book and travel through this renewed codeshare deal right away.

The SAA and Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes empire, which had been halted since the Covid- 19 epidemic, is now back in operation.

The restoration of the codeshare deal affirms Brazil’s position as a strategically important location for South Africa, according to SAA’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Tebogo Tsimane. It connects two big economies in the southern hemispheres to help luxury hospitality, and to promote organization, networking, and trade.

The SAA and Gol codeshare contract covers planes between Cape Town International, And Tambo International, and Rio de Janeiro’s Galeão- Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport. It also includes private roads, linking Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, and Gqeberha, offering Brazilian tourists quick access to South Africa’s four major financial centers. Also, SAA can now house its script on over 20 connected flights operated by Gol in Brazil, including places such as Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, and Florianópolis.

The airlines intend to increase the agreement’s scope to include 60 additional locations in Latin America and Africa, easing the travel process and reducing the cost of purchasing multiple area itineraries using a single SAA/Gol codeshare solution.

Additionally, the partnership allows travellers to make Gol Smiles and SAA Voyager Miles.

Mr. André Gaspar, Gol’s head of partnerships and distribution, remarks,” We are very happy to have this arrangement renewed with SAA and to lead to strengthening connections between Brazil and Africa. The partnership significantly expands Gol customers ‘ choice of destinations. It gives exposure to many of Africa’s most beautiful locations and allows Gol clients to travel through Guarulhos, which is a part of the Sao Paulo rail region, to two of the country’s most significant cities.

The restoration of the codeshare arrangement with Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, “added Tsimane,” confirms SAA’s status as an international service provider. Six weeks after SAA launched clear flights into So Paulo and a few days after direct flights into Perth, Australia, did it take place?

” SAA is providing the industry with increased accessibility and travel choices, not just internally and regionally, but between Africa, Latin America, and Australia, also. This codeshare deal, along with strong international flight offerings, points to SAA’s determination to attach people, businesses, and destinations to allow national, provincial, and western growth. It is an important part of the firm’s measured and determined return to success”.
